'Hebron: a Microcosm of the Occupation'
Saturday 28th September at 3.30pm in the Saskatchewan Room, Exeter College, Turl Street

Mr. Qawasmeh directs the Hebron International Resources Network and is a key activist in the Villages Group (http://villagesgroup.wordpress.com/). He also works for the UN to document human rights violations in the southern West Bank area.

Mr. Qawasmeh's talk will address the effects of the Israeli occupation on the lived experiences of Palestinians in Hebron's H2 area. He will also discuss the implications of the Israeli occupation on a peaceful resolution to the conflict, noting in particular the disconnect between the high-level political negotiations and the facts on the ground. Finally, he also hopes to bring the voices and experiences of the Hebron community - people he works with on a daily basis - to activists and the general public here in Oxford.

Q&A session and refreshments will follow after the talk.

Entry is free, but donations for humanitarian projects are welcome.

PLEASE NOTE:   This talk is in addition to the evening talk on 27th September, 7.30pm  at the Friends Meeting House, St. Giles, which will focus on  'Area C and the Death of the Two-State Solution'

He's hoping to bring the voices and experiences of those communities - people he works with on a daily basis - to activists and the general public here in the UK, and also to discuss some of the implications of Israel's policies in these areas (e.g. the "disconnect" between the recently announced "negotiations" and what's actually happening - the ‘facts on the ground’).

After the presentation, there will be questions and discussion.

Entry will be FREE, but donations for humanitarian projects welcome
Every Saturday 11.30-1.30pm: OXFORD PSC STALL in Cornmarket by St Michael at Northgate church. The OPSC Saturday street stall on Cornmarket Street is one of the main ways we use for raising the issue of Palestine with the public at large. It is an important activ

ity for offering information leaflets to the public, inviting them to join PSC or leave their email for Oxford PSC updates. Generally we are there 11:30 to 13:30. Always a minimum of two people on shift. Please consider volunteering for a shift: it’s an opportunity to meet other PSC members, those wanting information and occasionally those wishing to challenge our views, even volunteering for one shift a year would help. Please email Ali at OPSCstall@gmail.com if you're able to help.

If you are not already a member of PSC join us now!
