Sami Abu Shehadeh is a founding member and leader of the Jaffa Popular Committee for the Defense of Land and Housing Rights . He is currently completing a doctorate in history at Tel Aviv University and sits on the Tel-Aviv Jaffa municipality council as a Balad Party member representing Jaffa.

University of Sheffield

Dr. Takriti is Lecturer in International History at the University of Sheffield. He completed his doctorate from the University of Oxford, for which he received the Malcolm H. Kerr Dissertation Award, and the Leigh Douglas Memorial Award, and was the S.G. Younis Junior Research Fellow at St. Edmund Hall. His book, Monsoon Revolution: Republicans, Sultans, and Empires in Oman, 1965-1976 is forthcoming from Oxford University Press in July 2013.

Dr. Nabulsi is Fellow in Politics at St Edmund Hall. Her publications, reseach, and collective work spans 18th century political thought, 19th century republicanism, the laws of war, and Palestinian political and revolutionary history. She is Chair of Trustees of the HOPING Foundation, supporting educational and cultural activities for young Palestinian refugees across the Arab world, is the Patron of the London Palestinian Film Festival and the PSC among other institutions. She served as a representative of the PLO between 1977 and 1990.

INTERNATIONAL LAUNCH OF REPORT ON ISRAEL’S ROLE IN GLOBAL REPRESSION

Selma James is a women’s rights and anti-racist campaigner and author. Raised in a movement household, she joined CLR James’s Johnson-Forest Tendency at age 15, and from 1958 to 1962 she worked with him in the movement for Caribbean federation and independence. In 1972, she founded the International Wages for Housework Campaign, and in 2000 she helped launch the Global Women's Strike which she coordinates. She is a founding member of the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network. A collection of her writings, Sex, Race and Class – The Perspective of Winning, was recently published by PM Press.

Michael Kalmanovitz is UK coordinator of the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network (IJAN) which is committed to ending the occupation of Palestine, dismantling Israeli apartheid, and the return of Palestinian refugees. IJAN’s point of reference is the grassroots Palestinian struggle. It campaigns to end the charitable status of the Jewish National Fund which is complicit in the theft of Palestinian land. He is a member of Payday, an anti-sexist, anti-racist men’s network working with the Global Women’s Strike, that is building a global network of men and women who refuse to torture, rape & kill for the military.

Ben White is a freelance journalist, activist, and author of 'Israeli Apartheid: A Beginner's Guide' (2009) and 'Palestinians in Israel: Segregation, Discrimination and Democracy' (2012), both published by Pluto Press.

Phyllis Starkey is former Labour MP (1997-2010) and Chair of All-Party Palestine Group. She is now Trustee of Medical Aid for Palestinians, and Senior Associate Member at St Antony's College.
